Ana Matey & Isabel León: The Score’s Party

EXCHANGE Live Art – Isabel León and Ana Matey – present THE SCORE’S PARTY. It’s part of CELEBRATION, which includes the activities for the 10th Anniversary of their performative project.
Isabel and Ana will carry out a multi-day exhibition-installation of performance scores selected from those made over the last ten years of the project, which will grow over the course of the days, also thanks to the participation of the public.
They will carry out actions from these scores both inside the gallery space and in the public space. Also the public will be invited to participate through the actioning of these mentioned scores.
EXCHANGE Live Art is an artistic, research and creation project by the artists Ana Matey and Isabel León. It is based on research into Communication and Shared Creative Processes, using Action Art (or performance art) as its main artistic tool.
It began its journey in 2012, so in 2022 they celebrated ten years of intense trajectory in which they have carried out more than thirty editions in different formats, including activities such as residencies and artistic laboratories, exhibitions and live performance art events, workshops, talks and round tables.
Throughout this decade, almost 60 artists from different backgrounds, generations and nationalities have participated in EXCHANGE Live Art, including Spain, Norway, Canada, Finland, Israel, Tunisia, Cameroon, Morocco, Mexico and Venezuela.
*Scores refer to the type of working method typical for performance art tradition, Fluxus and movement. It’s usually a written instruction for action or movement. Arrival and accessibility information:
The installation space is located on the 2nd floor of the A stairway of the Taiteen talo Arts center. The outer door is barrier-free and equipped with a door pump. The building has an accessible elevator, but the elevator door is heavy and the elevator button is high.

Toilet spaces
The accessible toilet can be found on the first floor, the toilet is right-handed. Other toilets are located on the second floor.
Language accessibility and audience participation
The installation work contains a lot of written text and video. The language of the work is English. The performances (performing times will be announced separately) involve the audience, but you can also watch the installation and the performances without participating.
