Whose rules? Playground rules!
Bring your kids and join the workshop that explores our bodily and emotional relationship to the playgrounds! The workshop will take place on Sunday, May 14th 2023 in Turku, Adventure Park Seikkailupuisto. See the schedule and sign-up slots below.
Dash Che is a Russian American performance artist based in Finland who studies the ways local infrastructures affect and shape our bodies and movement. The workshop will invite both children and adults to engage in playful exercises in Seikkailupuisto and Liikennekaupunki, observing each other. Fundamentally the workshop will offer more bonding for both children and adults. After the exercises the kids and adults will be invited to chat about their experience with the artist. The whole experience will last about 1 hr 20 min at the most. Mother’s Day treats and refreshments will be provided at the site. The workshop will influence Dash Che’s upcoming work Patriotic Body, that will be presented in the programme of New Performance Turku Biennale on September 5-10th 2023. The artist will be documenting the workshop on the phone for their own artistic research for the upcoming work. The photos and videos will not be shared or used publicly.
