Welcome to celebrate together with us! On Thursday 24th November we’ll party together for two performance art publications and New Performance Turku’s 10th anniversary. The evening includes music, hanging out with friends and performance by Kainulainen&Latva.

ICE HOLE – The Live Art Journal vol. 12 brings together two art forms: poetry and performance art! We invited six poets to write event scoresand then we asked six artists/artist duos to complete them. The issue also includes three performance lectures. ICE HOLE vol.12 is made in collaboration with the Reality Research Center and the New Performance Turku Biennale. The issue will be published November 24th 2022.

During Performance art in practice- pedagogical approaches opens a path to a realm of performance art guided by experienced artist-educators, who write about their passions as artists and practices as teachers in Finnish universities. These essays are a profound collection of views to understanding performance art as a cultural phenomenon and a creative tool. The writers Tuomas Laitinen, Annette Arlander, Tero Nauha, Eero Yli-Vakkuri, Leena Kela, Pilvi Porkola, Jussi Matilainen and Pia Lindy with the editor Aapo Korkeaoja all approach performance art and pedagogy from different angles.

New Performance Turku Association’s (over) 10-year-history and the launch of the biennale will also be celebrated throughout the evening.
